The darTZeel, Evolution Acoustics and Playback Designs Room
Jonathan Tinn duplicated his room from T.H.E. Show at Las Vegas, and with good reason. His remarkable MMMicroOne loudspeakers ($2500/pair with stands) sounded great. I overheard that there is a MMMicroTwo in the works.
The analog source was the beautiful Wave Kinetics NVS Reference direct drive turntable ($45,000) fitted with a Durand Telos Reference tonearm ($15,000) and Ortofon Anna MC cartridge ($TBA).
Though I didn’t see Andreas Koch at the show, his Playback Designs MPS-3 CD player with USB PCM/DSD input ($8500) was there.
Jonathan distributes darTZeel components, so it was no surprise that a NHB-18NS preamplifier ($29,000) and NHB-108 Model One power amplifier ($25,750) were called into service.
New to the setup was a pair of Audience Adept Response aR6-T power conditioners ($4600/each).
