The Artemis Labs, Channel D, Lynx and Joseph Audio Room
Channel D partnered again with Joseph Audio, using the Pulsar monitor loudspeakers ($7500/pair) which consistently sound good at trade shows.
To playback vinyl using its Pure Vinyl playback software, Channel D selected the Artemis SA-1 turntable ($7800) and Graham Phantom II Supreme tonearm ($5750), fitted with a Haniwa HCTR 01 ($5000) cartridge.
Channel D employed is own Seta phono preamplifer ($3799; internal RIAA compensation module adds $999).
The output of the Seta was sent to a Lynx Hilo analog to digital converter and on to Channel D’s Pure Vinyl software for RIAA equalization, then back to the Hilo for digital to analog conversion.
The analog output of the Hilo was fed to a Lindemann 885 integrated amplifier ($14,500) for powering the loudspeakers.
It’s a complicated setup, but the results proved it was worth the effort.
