Magico spotlighted - in blue no less - its Q3 loudspeakers ($38,950/pair) with Soulution electronics. All of the wiring on the floor is Synergistic Research’s Galileo speaker cable system which retails for somewhere in the neighborhood of $55,000, the most expensive item in the room. Why would someone spend more on their speaker cables than their speakers? The same money would buy you the Magico Q5s and $35,000 worth of MIT cables, which is what Magico usually demos with.
The digital source was the Soulution 540 SACD player ($32,500).
The preamplifier was the Soulution 720 ($40,000).
Soulution also provided its 710 stereo power amplifier ($45,000).
