Some Price Perspective

My daughter is a senior in college. While she was at home for Spring break, we went car shopping as she is going to need something to get her to and from what we hope will be a job when she graduates in May. Which of course got me to thinking about the relative cost of cars and loudspeakers.

Not to single out Magico - you can substitute any loudspeaker of similar price - but what exactly is the rationale for speakers like the Magico V3s costing more than a loaded Honda CRV or the Magico M5s costing more than a Porsche 911 Carrera?

These brief moments of reality are eye-opening, and a little frightening. Something appears amiss in la-la land.
