Chris Groppi has posted a review of the Rotel RB1590 preamplifier ($1749) and RC1590 power amplifier ($2999) at Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity. His conclusions:
“For the money, you’d be hard pressed to find a better sounding, more fully featured preamp and power amp combo than the Rotel RB-1590 and RC-1590. The preamp in particular is loaded with useful and uncommon features that make it as versatile as they come. The RB-1590 power amp has lots of power capable of controlling virtually any loudspeaker, while still being able to deliver a subtle, detailed presentation.”
