The Benchmark Media Room
Benchmark introduced its new DAC2 HGC ($2195). It now has an asynchronous rather than adaptive USB input and offers DSD playback. I don’t know of another DSD DAC at this price. It retains other features from the Benchmark DAC1 HDR ($1895), which I reviewed here, including two analog inputs, balanced outputs, and a 32-bit hybrid volume control.
