The AVM, Block and Legacy Room
Legacy introduced its new Aeris loudspeaker ($15,900/pair). In a departure from their usual cabinets which look at home in an English pub, the Aeris has lots of sharp angles and open sides, presumably to benefit the ribbon tweeter.
The electronics were from AVM, the German company Legacy first showed with at Newport. Whither Coda? Anyway, the AVM components, which had a clean, well-organized look, were the CD 3.2 CD player ($3350) and the A 3.2 integrated amplifier ($3950).
More modestly priced components from Block, another German company, were also on display. Shown are the C-100 CD player ($477), the P-100 preamplifier ($600), and the A-100 power amplifier ($870) were also on display.
