The McIntosh Room
Denver dealer ListenUp sponsored several rooms, including this one devoted to an all McIntosh setup. Those are the McIntosh XR50 loudspeakers, which at $4000, were the least expensive item in the room.
The source was an MCD1100 SACD player ($6000). They also employed their proprietary MEN200 room correction system ($4500).
The preamplifier was the C2300 with relatively small meters ($6000).
They selected McIntosh’s most powerful stereo amplifier - the 450 watt/channel MC452 - to drive the XR50 monitors.
