Purity Audio introduced its new components paired with Von Schweikert’s new VR-44 Aktive loudspeakers, at a surprisingly low $20,000/pair, which replace the venerable VR-4s.
Shown below is the new Purity Ultra GT Silver linestage with silver output transformers ($29,995).

Purity Audio relied on an M2Tech Young DAC ($1800) to play back computer audio files from a laptop when not spinning discs. For that tube sound, Purity Audio also used its Harmony tube buffer stage ($2595) and power supply ($1200).
The Von Schweikert VR-44s are only active for the bass; amplification for the midrange drivers and tweeters was provided by a pair of Digital Amplifier Company Cherry Ultra monoblocks ($9000/pair).
