MX122 Audio Video Processor

The MX122 A/V Processor can serve as the brain center for an advanced home theater system for years to come. It features many of the latest breakthroughs in surround sound and object-based 3D audio such as Dolby® Atmos, and will be upgradable to support DTS:X™ and Auro-3D®. Besides 3D audio, existing formats like Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™ and others still work so you can keep enjoying your existing movie collection. Regardless the format, all audio will be processed to legendary McIntosh sound quality and performance standards. The MX122 is also fully compatible with modern 4K Ultra HD video sources and can upscale lower resolutions to 4K Ultra HD for the best possible picture quality.

The enjoyment the MX122 delivers does not have to be confined to just one room; you can create 2 additional zones in your house and have the MX122 send select audio and/or video to them. A wide assortment of inputs and outputs will let you connect your current and future entertainment sources. Inputs include 7 HDMI, 4 digital audio, 1 balanced and 8 unbalanced analog stereo, an unbalanced 7.1 multi-channel audio, 3 component and 4 composite video along with 1 USB for iPod. Outputs include both balanced and unbalanced connections configured for 11.2 (also referred to as 7.2.4) surround sound, 3 HDMI (1 dedicated for “zone 2”), 2 component and 2 composite video (1 of each for “zone 2”) and 2 unbalanced stereo (1 for “zone 2” and 1 for “zone 3”). All HDMI inputs and outputs are HDCP 2.2 and support High Dynamic Range (HDR), 4K Ultra HD at 50/60Hz, 4:4:4 color, Rec. 2020 and 3D video pass-through.

Besides enjoying your favorite movies and TV shows, the MX122 is also great for listening to analog or digital 2-channel music in either stereo or upconverted to surround sound and is compatible with a variety of high resolution digital music formats up to 24-bit/192kHz. You can connect to your cloud-based or online digital music with either the wired or wireless network connections. DSD64 files can be played from flash drives or over your network. Bluetooth and AirPlay® connectivity allows for easy streaming from your mobile devices. Interfaces to popular streaming services1 including Pandora®, SiriusXM® and Spotify® are included while vTuner lets you connect to 1,000s of internet radio stations – including McIntosh Music. Audyssey MultEQ® XT32 will calibrate the MX122 to your home theater’s unique acoustical properties, letting it deliver the clearest and most balanced – yet still earth shattering – sound possible. Each audio channel has its own 32-bit premium DAC for the best audio performance. A 9 band equalizer offers additional fine-tuning.

The MX122 features classic McIntosh design cues and can be paired with a variety of McIntosh amplifiers and speakers to make a complete cinematic surround sound system in the comfort of your home. Contact your local dealer to learn more.

McIntosh RS100 Wireless

The RS100 wireless speaker allows you to easily add streaming music capabilities to any room you want. It features DTS Play-Fi® technology that gives the freedom and flexibility to wirelessly play the music on your mobile devices over your existing Wi-Fi network. Simply connect the RS100 to your Wi-Fi network, install the free Play-Fi Apple or Android mobile app or Windows desktop app and then you’re ready to stream your music. The RS100 is a great first piece to introduce yourself to McIntosh’s legendary sound quality and performance standards (standards not found in any other Play-Fi device except our MB50 Streaming Audio Player).

A single RS100 is all that is needed to start building your wireless speaker system; more can be added over time to expand your system. Up to 16 speakers can be connected to a single Wi-Fi network - enough for stereo playback in 8 separate rooms. With the Play-Fi app installed on all your devices, each device can stream different music to each room, giving all family members or guests control over what they want to hear in their room. Besides accessing your personal music library, the apps have built-in support for many leading online streaming services1 including Deezer, KKBox, Pandora®, QQMusic, Rhapsody, SiriusXM®, Songza, Spotify® and TIDAL (subject to change), letting you enjoy all your streaming music on your RS100.

Not limited to just streaming, the RS100 is flexible thanks to its auxiliary input which allows it to be used in non-streaming setups; it can quickly be switched back and forth between the two inputs to accommodate your listening preference. A subwoofer output is included along with a USB port for firmware updates. Two internal Wi-Fi antennas help ensure a strong network connection for smooth playback; it can also be hardwired to your network via a USB-to-Ethernet adapter (not included).

A big advantage of DTS Play-Fi compared to many other streaming options is that it provides lossless playback of up to 16-bit/48kHz files; it also has playback support for high-resolution music files up to 24-bit/192kHz. Many common audio formats are compatible with the RS100, including .mp3, .m4a, .flac and .wav files; DLNA is supported.

The RS100 is our first speaker to ever feature a blue meter and knobs. It incorporates many classic design cues from our amplifiers and preamplifiers to produce a wireless speaker that is unmistakably McIntosh. An easy to remove magnetically attached grille trimmed with brushed aluminum end caps completes the timeless look. Contact your local dealer to learn more.

McIntosh MB50 Streaming Audio Player

Transform your home audio system into a wireless audio system with the MB50 Streaming Audio Player. The MB50 features DTS Play-Fi® technology to give you the freedom and flexibility to wirelessly play your music at home anyway you want over your existing Wi-Fi network. While utilizing DTS Play-Fi streaming capabilities, the MB50 delivers the legendary McIntosh sound quality and performance found in our other home audio products. Besides accessing your personal music library, the apps have built-in support for many leading online streaming services1 including Deezer, KKBox, Pandora®, QQMusic, Rhapsody, SiriusXM®, Songza, Spotify® and TIDAL (subject to change), letting you enjoy your streaming music on any speakers in any room in your house.

Have more than one audio system in your house you’d like to stream to? No problem, just add an MB50 to each and then you can stream the same music to all systems. Or if you have multiple mobile devices with the app, you can simultaneously stream different music to each system. The MB50 with DTS Play-Fi wireless streaming puts the power of choice in your hands by removing all barriers between your music, your devices and your speakers.

Analog outputs for both balanced and unbalanced cables connect the MB50 to your system’s amplifier or preamplifier; digital outputs are also included. An analog plus two digital inputs let you connect audio components such as CD players to the MB50, allowing it to act as a mini-preamp. Two Wi-Fi antennas help ensure a strong network connection for smooth playback; the MB50 can be hardwired to your network via a USB-to-Ethernet adapter (not included).

A big advantage of DTS Play-Fi compared to many other streaming options is that it provides lossless playback of up to 16-bit/48kHz files; it also has playback support for high-resolution music files up to 24-bit/192kHz. Many common audio formats are compatible with the MB50, including .mp3, .m4a, .flac and .wav files; DLNA is supported.
