Leon Speakers to Unveil Redesigned Vault Series Loudspeakers

Leon Speakers, leaders in the custom high-fidelity audio industry, has redesigned its entire lineup of Vault Series in-wall speakers from the ground up to simplify the installation process, provide an incredibly sleek design aesthetic, and ultimately better serve a variety of applications. Each speaker now features a re-engineered, easy-to-install mounting system in a fully sealed and tuned MDF cabinet. In addition, the Vault Series utilizes an extremely thin form factor magnetic grill that can be custom painted in-house to match any color or paint code. They have also each been outfitted with new crossover designs, producing natural, uncolored sound not typically found in an in-wall speaker. The redesigned Vault Series will be on display at CEDIA EXPO 2012 at the Leon Speakers booth, #3573 from September 5-8, 2012.

Originally introduced in 2009, the Vault Series of in-wall speakers can be used to create high-performance home theater systems, or they can be used as rear channels to complement the Horizon or Profile Series speakers. Unlike other in-walls on the market, the Vault Series feature fully-sealed cabinets that are hand-crafted from the finest materials and components to deliver uncompromising quality in both construction and performance. These unique in-walls are easily installed pre- or post-construction and come equipped with high-performance woofers and tweeters, providing a truly integrated sound solution.

At a depth of only 3.75-inches Leon’s v114i, v114i-X-A, v115i-X-A and vUltima-i fit in any standard wall. They come equipped with 4-inch (v114i and v114i-X-A) and 5-inch (v115-X-A and vUltima-i) drivers and 1-inch tweeters for uncompromising sound quality. The new crossover designs aim to control the woofers and provide proper damping in wall. The result is a natural sound, rivaling even the best in room speakers.

For reference theaters, bigger rooms and large format displays, Leon’s v631i 3-way in-wall speaker features SEAS woofers and Morel horn-loaded tweeters to deliver theater-grade, dynamic sound with superb clarity. Measuring less than 6″ deep, they can be easily framed into any 2″ x 6″ stud wall. All of Leon’s in-wall speakers are 100% hand-crafted in Ann Arbor, MI, from the entry level v114i to the 3-way v631i for dedicated theater.
