This from a flyer announcing HPSoundings circulating at RMAF:
“Welcome to HPSoundings, a web-based magazine devoted to utilising the unmistakable sound of live acoustic music as the absolute reference for a meaningful analysis of audio components and musical recordings.
HPSoundings is the brainchild of Harry Pearson (HP), who over the past several decades has defined the world’s audio vocabulary and in the process, become the world’s most recognized audio reviewer. HP has surrounded himself with a team of like-minded experts who together will seek to bring their devoted readers an unadulterated, precise perspective on human kind’s passionate quest for great sound.
‘Publications today are no longer like the magazines I and J. Gordon Holt created and nurtured for a few decades,’ HP stated at his historic Sea Cliff (New York) home. ‘We shall bring back the idealisms, integrity and love of the music that prompted me to found The Absolute Sound years ago.’
HPSoundings will not only be authoritative about sound and the related matters of home entertainment, but it will be an independent voice, beholden to no one save its readers.
And so now, let the fun begin again.”
