MQA – including its creator, Bob Stuart – is set to appear at the High Resolution Festival 2016. The event takes place at Tokyo’s Spiral Hall, and runs for three days from 11th to 13th March. Visitors to the MQA Booth, located in the Foyer of Spiral Hall 3F, will be able to intimately experience ‘Master Quality Authenticated’, via headphones connected to MQA-enabled products from HTC, Meridian Audio, MYTEK, ONKYO, and Pioneer. An HTC ‘proof of concept’ demonstration can also be heard on the A9 handset.
The show will also host two MQA seminars, both of which see audio journalist Atsushi Yamamoto interview Bob Stuart. Bob will present the MQA philosophy and will close each seminar with an MQA demonstration, including streaming MQA via TIDAL, and the playback of MQA files from 2L, HQM, Octavia Records, OTOTOY, and UNAMAS. The seminars take place in Lounge 9F, on Sunday 13th March, running from 14:30 to 15:30 and 16:00 to 17:00. At the conclusion of the final seminar, MQA will run a demonstration on Meridian Audio products, which finishes at 17:30.
