Vitus Audio and Estelon
The beautiful blue Estelon XB loudspeakers ($32,900) I first saw at RMAF 2012 were on demo in the Vitus Audio room. The analog source was a VPI Aries 3 turntable with 9-inch Classic tonearm (together, $5000) played through a Vitus RP 101 phono stage ($13,000). Digital was played back through Vitus’s brand new RD 100 preamplifier and DAC ($13,000) with a RS 100 amplifier ($13,000) providing the power. I like the way the XB’s sound, but it would seem the styling is eclectic enough to limit sales.
