REL’s Gibralter subwoofer has won universal acclaim, but let’s face it, it is huge. You have to have a serious size room if you want to use two or more for best effect. REL has come up with a solution for smaller rooms, especially for multiple subs - the R528SE ($2750). Using the Gibraltar’s 12-inch carbon fiber low frequency driver and another 12-inch carbon fiber passive radiator, it has a -6db point at 21Hz.
