dCS and Sony
Sony introduced its new SS-NA2ES loudspeaker ($10,000) based on the well received SS-AR1 and SS-AR2 but with a new three tweeter I-ARRAY system which is designed for exemplary off-axis high frequency response. They were demoing with DSD versions of many of their master recordings through a dCS Debussy DAC ($11,449). Electronics included the Pass Labs XP-20 preamplifier ($8600) and X150.5 power amplifier ($5500). The turntable was the Clearaudio Innovation Wood Compact turntable with Magnify tonearm (together, $10,500) fitted with a Clearaudio Stradivari V2 cartridge ($3750). The phono stage was the recently updated Fosgate Signature Phono V2 ($2500).
