MBL brought out its huge 101X-treme loudspeakers with separate bass cabinets ($263,000). As you can see, they were bi-amped with a pair of white 9011 monoblocks ($106,000/pair) and a pair of black 9008 monoblocks ($60,600/pair)
An adjacent rack held the 1621A CD transport ($28,000), 1611F DAC ($28,300), and 6010D “Tonmeister” preamplifier ($26,500).
I was more interested in the adjacent ante-room housing MBL’s more affordable Corona line of components. Shown are the Model 116F loudspeakers ($29,000), C31 CD player ($9200), C11 preamplifier ($8800), and a pair of C15 monoblocks ($25,000/pair).
