Theta confirmed to me that they are accepting a limited number of Casablanca IIIs for the HDMI 1.4 upgrade. They expect to ramp up greater availability in the coming weeks. Casablanca I and II owners are being offered a $5000 trade-in credit toward the cost of a new Casablanca III HD.
Here is a photo of the Casablanca III HD (notice HD designation on top left of chassis) and the Compli-Blu. Theta said they were working on an HDMI 1.4 3D capable replacement of the Compli-Blu but gave no timetable for its release. Presumably it will be based on the Oppo BDP-93 or BDP-95.
Theta also introduced a new Intrepid 7x150w multi-channel Class D amplifier that will retail for under $10,000. Expect it later this year. You can see the seven individual amplifier modules in this photo. Rumor has it they are OEMed from Hypex.
