Magico

Magico debuted its new Q3 loudspeaker partnered with Soulution electronics (What, no Technical Brain this year? Perhaps Alon is trying to distance himself from Jonathan Valin). I thought the Q3 sounded a little lean but that may be just because it doesn’t have the bottom end of the M3 and Q5. They also showed a prototype of the upcoming Q1 which replaces the Magico Mini. No more baltic birch enclosures from Magico. I sure wish they would partner with someone other than MIT. It creates the implication that you need another $35,000 worth of networked cable with a gazillion “articulation points” for their speakers to sound their best, which I know is not the case.
