Sonus Faber

The Fenice is finito. Due to trademark issues the Fenice is now know as The Sonus Faber ($175,000/pair). Fortunately nothing else was changed. They were imposing and impressive. You definitely need a big room for them though. I think they would have overwhelmed any room smaller than the one is was demoed in.

The Ancillaries were an SME 20/3 turntable, Audio Research Reference 2 phono stage ($11,995), Reference CD* CD player ($9,995) Reference 40th Anniversary preamp ($24,995) and Reference 610T monoblocks ($21,995), and some older Transparent Reference XL interconnects and speaker cables.
