The Swedish manufacturer Marten also showed with Vitus Audio. I was very impressed with the new Getz Heritage ($20,000/pr.) with E.A.R. electronics in a previous room. Shown below is their other new speaker, the Marten Coltrane Momento ($165,000/pr.) Perhaps it was the room setup or the absence of Tim de Paravinci’s designs, but I actually preferred the Getz Heritage. Unless you have a very large room, my advice is to listen to both. You may find yourself with an extra $148,000 in your wallet when you walk out the door.
All of Vitus Audio products look absolutely identical. Those are the SM-101 monoblocks on the bottom, a SCS-101 CD player top left, and a SL-101 preamplifier middle right. The turntable is a Bergman Sleipner ($54,000), which sits at the pinnacle of Bergman’s line. Both the drive and the linear tracking tonearm float on air bearings. It’s an elegant design.
