Boulder and Focal exhibited together this year, and the synergy was evident. Those are Focal’s Utopia Maestros.
The digital source was a Boulder 1021 CD player. Check out the size of the display. Boulder elected to go with Critical Mass System isolation platforms just like Vladamir Lamm. They must be good.
Although the Boulder 1021 does have a built in DAC, they elected to use the Boulder 1012 DAC preamplifier to control the volume and switching. By the way, all of the Boulder components are in silver; they just appear golden as a result of the tungsten lighting.
The Boulder 1080 provided the gain for the vinyl.
The turntable is the Immedia SG-2 ($15,000 without tonearm).
Power was provided by a Boulder 1060 stereo amplifier (not shown).
Here is the entry level Boulder 865 integrated amplifier. Not a bad way to start out a music system.
