Next door to the YG Acoustics room was NVS Sound, a new cable company. The owner/designer was formerly with Virtual Dynamics, a cable company which sells its wares on Audiogon and is prone the hyper hyperbole. The cables were extremely stiff, The interconnect uses 8 gauge wire which not coincidentally is the same size as the positive pin of an RCA plug, allowing them to bypass the pin altogether and run the center conductor straight into the RCA jack of your equipment. They also attach what is probably an 18 gauge wire to the cable shield and connect it to the ground pin of a three prong AC plug which you plug into the wall. Unfortunately, that aspect of the design is poorly implemented as you can see in the close up below. On the whole I was unimpressed.
NVS did have some great equipment to show off its cables. Pictured are YG Acoustics Kipod loudspeakers, a Wadia front end and VAC Phi 200 monoblocks.
