Daniel Weiss introduced three new products at CES. First up is the new Weiss DAC 202 Firewire digital to analog converter with built-in headphone amplifier. The Weiss distributor claimed it is a significant improvement over the previous Minerva/DAC2 justifying its price rise to $6,440. The IR remote is a nice addition.
Next is the Weiss INT202 Firewire to digital converter (AES/EBU and SPDIF) which is the successor to the Vesta. By putting it in a more utilitarian box, he was able to reduce the price by half, which should put it somewhere around $1595. It comes with an IR remote as well.
Finally, we have the Weiss ATT202 passive attenuator. It too has an IR remote, completing the theme.
