MSB introduced its new line of 24-bit/384kHz Platinum IV DACs in several (high) price ranges. Shown below from top to bottom are the Signature Platinum DAC IV ($13,995), the Diamond Platinum DAC IV ($25,995), the Platinum DAC IV ($5,995) and the Platinum Power Base (sold separately, price unknown. Given the naming scheme and identical enclosures, there is no possibility of confusion.
Each of the Platinum DACs can be fitted with a lid containing an iPod Dock for $1,995. The connection is digital like the $370 Wadia i70.
MSB also introduced its new M202 200 watt monoblock amplifier ($17,500) in a unique design.
MSB demoed its new offers on classic Harbeth Super HL5s. Old school speakers with new school electronics. An interesting combination.
MSB had the good sense to draw the curtain over the window in the back to minimize rear reflections off the big sheet of glass. As you will see in later photos, not every manufacturer exercised such foresight, to the detriment of the presentation.
