CES 2010 Coverage

Roger Sanders exhibited his Model 10 electrostatic loudspeakers and accompanying electronics. The Model 10 has a conventional 10″ woofer and 18 (3 across x 6 high) electrostatic panels. He also offers the smaller 10 panel (2 across x 5 high) Model 11 with an 8″ conventional woofer for smaller rooms.

The source was a Tascam SS-R1 professional hard disk recorder (bottom). Sanders also offers his own preamplifier (middle). A Behringer UltraDrive Pro DCX2496 Ultra High-Precision Digital 24-Bit/96 kHz Loudspeaker Management System (top) handled crossover and EQ duties.

The whole system sounded well integrated with exceptional clarity of midrange and treble.
