CEDIA 2011 Coverage

September 12, 2011
Krell

Krell’s big announcement at the show was its LCR in-wall/on-wall Modulari Ion loudspeakers ($6000/each) which it has developed in conjunction with Leon Speakers. They use the same drivers as the Modulari Duo floorstanders. They won a CEDIA product award for their efforts. There was a crowd around the speaker when I was there so the best I can do is a stock photo.

Krell also displayed their new Cipher SACD player ($12,000) and two-box Phantom preamplifier ($17,500).

On the home theater front, Krell showed its flagship Evolution 707 surround sound processor ($30,000).

Its less expensive entry is the S-1200 ($10,000) shown here with S-1500 150 watt/channel seven-channel amplifier ($7000).
