Audio Research introduced the new DSPre fully balanced stereo preamplifier and DAC ($7500). It is said to contain the digital to analog converter stage from the DAC8 ($5000). If that is the case, they may just have hit a home run with this product.
Also shown from the Definition series were, top to bottom, the DSi200 200/watt channel integrated amplifier ($5995), the DS225 225 watt/channel stereo power amplifier ($4995), the DS450M 450 watt monoblock power amplifier ($4995), and the DS450 450 watt/channel stereo power amplifier ($7995).
At the entry level, the VSi60 integrated amplifier ($3995) was on display.
