Bryston had every product they make, including all of their amplifiers, on display. This was the first time I had seen the D130Z ($4,395) four zone amplifier. It is quite versatile and can be configured as eight independent channels at 130 watts each into 4 ohms or four stereo zones at 130 watts per channel into 4 ohms. Each of the four stereo zones can also be bridged to 400 watts into 8 ohms. Like other Bryston amps, it is built like a tank.
The news everyone has been waiting for is the availability of the HDMI 1.4 3D compatible SP3 surround sound processor. It is scheduled to ship by the end of November and will retail for approximately $10,000.
Making its debut was the BDP-1 digital music server ($2,100), shown here coupled with the BDA-1 DAC ($2,150) and controlled with an iPad.
Seen previously, but well worth another look are the BP26 preamplifier and MPS-2 power supply ($3,195), BDA-1 DAC ($2,150), BCD-1 CD player ($2,500):
You would probably match such a system with the B2 SST2 100 watts/channel power amplifier ($2,975):
