AXPONA 2013 Begins Friday in Chicago

March 3, 2013

AXPONA will present its fifth trade show - open to the public - March 8 - 10 at the Doubletree by Hilton Rosemont O’Hare Chicago spring of 2013. AXPONA has presented shows in New York City, Atlanta and Jacksonville, Florida over the past three years and carefully chose Chicago due to its long history of major events in the electronics industry.

“Audio shows are a very important means to maintain visibility for manufacturers and their dealers. AXPONA generates considerable interest in the brands that exhibit in the city and surrounding area where the show is presented. Strong national and international interest also exists due to the press from the varied and numerous publications covering the show both in print and on-line,” says Steve Davis the show promoter.

Over the past three years AXPONA has presented over five hundred different brands to over eight thousand attendees. This is a very significant number of people who otherwise might not ever have the opportunity to actually see this equipment and meet the designers.

“Chicago is where it really all began for consumer electronics, says Davis.” The first CES was held in June 1967 in New York City but it was a spinoff from the Chicago Music Show, which until then had served as the main event for exhibiting consumer electronics.

AXPONA will be the first Show of its type in Chicago in 14 years. It will host hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees. Seminars featuring everything from computer downloads, room acoustics, system setup, current trends in music and the artists will be part of the event.

Hours for the event are 12:00PM-8:00PM Friday, 10:00AM-6:00PM Saturday and 10:00AM-4:00 PM on Sunday.

The Doubletree offers a free shuttle to and from the O’Hare International airport and group rate rooms will be only $109.00 per night.

AXPONA expects to have over 250 exhibitors in 75 exhibits with over 4000 attendees for the three day event.
