The dCS, Krell and YG Acoustics Room
YG Acoustics brought along its top of the line Anat III Reference Signature loudspeakers ($119,000) and, much to my surprise, they did not overwhelm the room. Though they would have shown their full potential in a larger room, the sound was right up there among the top of the show. The Anat IIIs were driven in bi-wire fashion by a pair of Krell 402e stereo power amplifiers ($18,500/each). If history is any indication, the cables were by Kubala-Sonsa.
The source was a four-piece dCS Scarlatti stack ($together, $80,000).
The preamplifier was Veloce’s battery-powered Platino Series LS-1 ($18,000).
