The Ayre, KEF and Orion Room
House of Stereo displayed the KEF Blade loudspeakers ($30,000) with a suite of top of the line Ayre components, including the Ayre MR-X monoblocks ($19,000/pair). Obviously great care was taken with setup, with the dealer employing a goodly number of strategically placed ASC Tube Traps.
Both analog and digital sources were in use. The turntable was an Oracle Mk.VI with SME arm and Oracle cartridge ($13,000).
The rest of the Ayre components consisted, top to bottom, of the KR-X, preamplifier ($19,000), the P-5xe phono preamplifier ($2500) and the DX-5 universal Blu-ray player ($10,000).
Cables and power conditioning were by Audience.
