Krell had a small room, barely large enough to accommodate it Modulari Duo Reference loudspeakers ($65,000/pair) and a few chairs. It worked out well for them though as the system sounded very good indeed. The power amplifier was the Krell Evolution 402e ($18,500), the same amplifier driving the YG Anat Signatures in the big ballroom.
The front end was a Krell Evolution 525 SACD plasyer ($12,000) and Krell’s new two-box Phantom preamplifier ($17,500).
Sometimes less is more. It was in this case.
