Jeff Joseph manned the iMac running Channel D’s Pure Music playback software ($129) to show off his well received Pulsar loudspeakers ($7000/pair). These speakers may not look like it, but they sound full range. I kept looking for a subwoofer behind the curtain.
He chose to demo the Pulsars with Hegel’s H4A power amplifier ($5750). I’m pretty sure a Hegel P4A preamplifier ($4650) was secreted away somewhere.
The Artemis Labs SA-1 turntable ($8000 without arm) saw little use.
