Ricardo Reyes of Musical Artisans always has a great room. This year he outdid himself, introducing the Swiss CH Precision line of components to North America. Paired with Magico Q3 loudspeakers and connected with the ne plus ultra Argento Audio cables, the sound was among the very best at the show. The racks were by Grand Prix Audio.
This is the D1 CD/SACD player and transport ($40,000). Note the precision of the fit of the drawer in the faceplate.
And the C1 DAC, preamplifier and network player ($33,000). Note the upsampling from 44.1Hz to 705.6Hz (16x).
CH Precision won’t be releasing its matching monoblocks (~$42,000) until the 2Q, so a Luxman M800 stereo power amplifier ($16,000) providing 60 watts/channel of pure Class A was being used instead.
