Mark Levinson introduced four new components at CES.
The No. 560 digital audio processor with DSD-direct capability, two optical and two electrical S/PDIF inputs, an AES/EBU XLR input and three USB 2.0 inputs. ($6000).
The No. 519 SACD/CD player with four S/PDIF and USB digital inputs for external sources. ($8000).
The No. 585 225 watt/channel integrated amplifier with with DSD-direct capability, two optical and two coaxial S/PDIF inputs, an AES/EBU XLR input and three USB 2.0 inputs ($10,000).
The Reference Dual Monaural Preamplifier ($25,000). Although it does not have any digital inputs, it does have a MC/MM phono stage.
The disappointing word is that the Lexicon MP20 surround sound processor shown at CEDIA will not be released, apparently due to the discontinuation of the video chips it incorporated. Presumably something will take its place, though no timeline is known.
The were over a dozen new Revel loudspeakers introduced. Shown below are the entry level M106 monitors ($1700/pair).
Harmen also demoed the new Revel F208 floorstanding speakers ($4500/pair) with a pair of Mark Levinson No. 531H monoblocks. The preamp was the Mark Levinson 502 surround sound processor ($30,000) and the previous generation No. 512 SACD player (not shown).
