Mystere played its tube components, which are hand-built with point-to-point wiring, over a pair of Vienna Acoustics Klimt The Kiss loudspeakers ($15,000). These were the same speakers Boulder used to demo its megabuck components. The Mystete ca11 preamplifier ($1799) and pa11 stereo power amplifier ($1999) played back CDs and digital audio files from a PS Audio PerfectWave Transport ($3995) and PerfectWave DAC ($3995). Unfortunately, the glass-topped coffee table between the speakers and the listening position compromised the sound, but you could certainly hear their potential.
